Meet the Swim Instructors

​Meghan: 

​Meghan has been teaching swim lessons for four sessions! She is also a head lifeguard!

Three fun facts about Meghan:
-She loves to play action RPG video games.
-She knows how to play two instruments the flute and the bari saxophone.
-She has four animals, 2 bunnies and 2 guinea pigs.

​​Hollie: 

Hollie has been teaching swim lessons for over a year, helping swimmers of all ages build confidence and skills in the water. The youngest swimmer I’ve worked with was just 10 months old, and I also enjoy coaching advanced swimmers to refine their technique and build endurance.
Three fun facts about Hollie: 
-She swam competitively in elementary and middle school and have since competed in various endurance sports, including triathlons. She had the honor of representing Team USA at the Age Group Sprint Triathlon World Championships.
-She is an environmental engineer by training, with a passion for drinking water treatment and ensuring safe water access for all.
-She loves cycling and race competitively year-round in both road and track cycling. She's also competed at the national level in track cycling.

Nathan: 

Nathan has been teaching swim lessons for almost a year! He is also a head lifeguard!

Three fun facts about Nathan: 

-He loves being in the outdoors.
-He enjoys taking on different challenges. 
-He loves to help and meet new people.

Samiah: 

Samiah has been teaching swim lessons for almost a year! She is also a lifeguard!

Three fun facts about Samiah: 

-She is a varsity swimmer. 
-She loves photography.
-She loves working with kids.

Carol: 

Carol has been teaching swim lessons for 2.5 years! She is also a lifeguard!

Three fun facts about Carol: 

-She swims with the FAST Tri-club for Michigan Master Swimming.

-She coaches swimming & track at Garden City High School.  

-She was certified by U.S. Masters Swimming in their Adult Learn to Swim program.

Given: 

Given has been teaching swim lessons for 5 months now! He is also a head lifeguard!

Three fun facts about Given: 

-He learned to swim at the RAC.
-He hosts the Nerf Wars at the RAC.
-His favorite color is green.

Sara: 

Sara has been teaching swim lessons for three years. She is also a lifeguard and is passionate about making the water a safe and enjoyable space for everyone.
Three facts about Sara:

-She loves teaching and helping her students, no matter their age, gain confidence and skills in the water.

-She loves celebrating their progress as they refine their swim strokes and technique. Whether for private or group lessons, she will tailor lesson plans to meet each student’s goals, comfort level, and experience—ensuring every session is both effective and enjoyable.
-Her love for swimming goes beyond teaching. She is passionate about all things water-related, from leisurely swims in lakes to snorkeling in tropical oceans, lap swimming in pools, and even water aerobics.

Saturday: 8:10 AM - 8 PM
Sunday: 11 AM* - 6 PM
*Adults ONLY from 10 AM - 11
