The Romulus Athletic Center continues to grow, and the City of Romulus and the City of Romulus TIFA have continued to support our efforts to ensure the Romulus Athletic Center remains the crown jewel of the area.

As we begin our new fiscal year, we have invested in new fitness equipment, HVAC equipment, flooring, steam rooms, the reopening of the café under the Rac Shack, the development of new programs, and the hosting of many events in our Event Center.

Over the next year, we will continue expanding our programming offerings and will begin an expansion of our current Event Center. Construction is expected to start on August 24, 2026. As part of this project, our event space will be expanded, and our front entrance will be enlarged.

To complete this work while the RAC remains open during normal business hours, there will be temporary changes to entrances and parking.

Key updates include:

• Front parking will be closed off by construction fencing.

• Current handicap parking spaces will be moved to the fence line.

• The southwest corner of the parking lot will be closed for the construction trailer and staging area.

• The front entry will be moved to a temporary entrance.

• Signage will direct all customers to the temporary entrance.

• Access to the Cirrus Room banquet room will be through the temporary entrance.

• A temporary wall will be built in the Cirrus Room banquet room, reducing the room by approximately one-third of its current space.
